interlude

This one will be different from the usual newsletters that have only one piece of artwork. I wanted to share a handful of small things which give me that same sense of calm remove from everyday life.

resources

  1. YouTube yoga – specifically Yoga with Adriene and Yoga with Kassandra. Whenever I make the time for one of these, I feel calmer, more centred, and more flexible. Yin yoga is especially healing.

  2. Poetry Foundation Poem of the Day. A peek into someone else’s worldview, in a quick excerpt.

  3. Pinterest. A haven of pretty images, and one occasion where I am okay with the algorithm understanding exactly what I want, better than I do 🤪 I don’t scroll the feed every day, only when I need inspiration for a painting, which makes an otherwise electronic experience feel more precious.

  4. Lighting a candle. I prefer candles with fruity or spicy scents (depending on the season), which not only brighten up the space but also invigorate my senses.
